The Bazaar

The server buys and sells. Prices move with what everyone trades.

/bazaar (or /lb) opens a market that is always willing to trade. It is not a fixed price list. Every item has a stock level, and the price follows the stock: sell iron in bulk and iron gets cheaper, for everyone, until it recovers.

How the price moves

Cheapest an item can get30% of base
Dearest an item can get400% of base
Stock recovery4% every 5 minutes
Buy/sell spread20%

That recovery rate is the important one. A flooded market is not ruined — it drifts back toward baseline over a few hours. If you crash the price of something, waiting is a strategy.

The 20% spread means the Bazaar always buys lower than it sells, so you cannot buy an item and immediately sell it back for a profit. That holds no matter what bonuses you have stacked from paths or standing — it is enforced per unit, after every multiplier.

Demand events

Now and then demand spikes on a category — prices there jump between 1.25× and 2×, for twenty minutes to an hour. Anything at 1.5× or above is announced in chat. If you are sitting on stock and an event fires on your category, that is the moment to sell.

Worth knowing

  • /bazaar board — what is moving right now
  • Ten categories, and each one belongs to exactly one path
  • The Bazaar is the server. Player shops are a separate market with its own prices.
